for a team that hasn't trained since april, i must say, you guys are really pretty amazing (:
this is to say thanks for everything since the start of touch last year. i don't know about you, but for me, it's been a brilliant one and a half and a bit more years. i couldn't ask for a better team, and i'm glad that the people who stayed active are you lot.

i've probably never told all of you this, but personally, it's you that has made my RJ experience worth it. All the shiz and stuff has been made tolerable because I know I start my morning with yall at the touch table and end my day on the field with yall. I know yona will probably stick her tongue out in disgust and say something horrible and make me laugh in response to this, because it sounds corny, but it is true okay. Everytime someone asks if I regret coming to RJ, i would so much like to say yes, but i think of yall and i say yes and no. no because if i didn't come, i wouldn't have met yall and wouldn't have found a team like that, more focused on welfare and family than killing each other on the field.

i'm thankful that you chose me to captain yall because its been a great ride. ups and downs yes, but its made me come to appreciate yall a lot more and even though yall always laugh at me when i'm actually being serious, i know yall will never leave each other alone on field. thanks friends, for your support and respect, and for giving me a place i really belong and a place where i can be me. and even though you still don't know the team vision for this year, which made me and ame very sad, (it's T.R.Y - technique, rapport and you), we still love you guys and its heartwarming to know that at least some still remember the Y, which means we've made this place a place you can look back on and smile.

i wouldn't give up raffles touch 09 for anything, all the fun and mud, omg do you remember how derel made us jumpball at the start of training at the swamp and only andrea was clean cos she came late, and how derel forced us to run 4k in 25min, and how we had 2.4 every before every training, and how we sang 'its been a long time, since we first met you...' and the juno song for derel and khai, and how we won first place for derel and ms chan at m1 round 3 on teachers day, and how we got accustomed to caleb and can horse around with him now and really appreciate him too, and how we bake under the sun and call everyone except ourselves black (yes thats you liting and ger hahaha) and how we played the most violent game of rugby captains ball during camp, and how proud we feel when we wear our batch jersey...

i know i'll always be here for yall, and i will always play my heart out for yall (:


on a much lighter note, i really had fun yesterday and i was also very touched when you all tried to cover for me even though yall were already very tired cos i got my head smashed twice and wasn't very much use to yall for a while. thanks friends.
